The Best Sausage Stuffing OMG, this sausage stuffing is epic !!!
It’s so moist and flavorful, you’ll never have stuffing again without sausage. Even the next day, it still has all that awesome flavor, and the apple just adds some sweet moisture. The next day, just serve with some leftover gravy and voile’…you now have a meal, gotta keep those carbs coming.
1 lb. bulk italian sweet or spicy sausage
1 large onion, diced
2 t. poultry seasoning
1 T. fresh thyme, chopped
1 large apple, peeled and chopped
6 T. butter
3 c. chicken stock
¼ c. parsley, chopped
1 t. salt
½ t. fresh ground black pepper
16 c. white bread, toasted
Extra butter for buttering the dish and for the top of the stuffing
