Hearty Corn Chowder

 

Hearty Corn Chowder, well okay, I’ll admit I’m a carb junkie and the best thing about the cold weather…is the soups and chowders. And this is a nice full bodied chowder, not to thin or thick… just enough to let you know it’s not soup.  So wrap those chilly hands around a comfy bowl of chowda and enjoy !

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound sliced bacon
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups cubed peeled potatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups frozen corn
  • 1 can (14-3/4 ounces) cream-style corn
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 6 ounces smoked sausage links, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed
