Whole Oats -vs- Quick Oats…does it really matter? It depends on the recipe, but in this case it does. Since quick oats are pressed thinner than the old fashioned whole oats (rolled oats) their fine texture will hold the ingredients together better. So your end results will be affected by the type of oats you use.
