Homemade Monkey Bread With Caramel Sauce is just as much fun to make it, as it is to eat it.  The dough is so sweet and soft and is wrapped up in all my favorites, sugar, cinnamon, pecans, and caramel, yes I do love sweet foods.   You can slice this bread, or serve on a plate, let everyone just pull it apart and watch it disappear.  You will enjoy baking this bread.  !!

Serve warm for breakfast.

Homemade Monkey Bread with Caramel Sauce


  • 1 standard package (2 and 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water (110F-115F)
  • 1 and 1/4 cups warm 2% or whole milk (110F-115F)
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour

Easy Caramel Sauce

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons heavy cream (no substitutions)

Cinnamon-Sugar Topping

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
