Braised Brisket


Braised Brisket is a favorite winter dish at our house and a favorite dish that we cook on the grill in the summer.  I can’t say enough good things about this mouthwatering, fall off your fork, delicious recipe.  Very often when I run out of dinner ideas and ask for suggestions, a Braised Brisket is requested, mostly by my husband, as it is one of his many go to favs.  Enjoy !!

Braised Brisket
Braised Brisket via Fifteen Spatulas
  • 2 lb first cut brisket
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 5 oz package radishes, chopped
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 5 sprigs fresh thyme
  • salt and pepper
