Traditional Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

 

A St. Patty’s day  Traditional Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner, just like the one we all grew up with.  Everyone has a little Irish in them on this holiday, and since it’s all about celebrating and having a good time…  no gifts, no worries, just celebrate and be happy…let’s do just that, the old-fashioned way !

Ingredients

  • 2 – 2 1/2 lbs corned beef brisket
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 6 red potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 2 cups baby carrots
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 garlic clove,minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • The spice packet that comes with the corned beef brisket (optional)
  • 1 small cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 2 cups beef broth
