Iced Raspberry Danish Braids


Iced Raspberry Danish Braids, flaky buttery layers filled with raspberry goodness, such a delicious treat for any breakfast or brunch.  If you’re not familiar with making  Danish pastry you’ll need to  understand that there are some requirements for certain ingredients,  so be sure to read through the directions before getting started.


Prep Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes
Total Time: at least 6 hours, (includes chilling time)
Yield: 2 braids, 4-6 servings each

Raspberry Filling

  • 2 and 1/2 cups raspberries, fresh or frozen
  • 3 Tablespoons  granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon warm water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Vanilla Glaze

  • 1 cup  confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)
