Cream Puffs

 

These Cream Puffs would make a great finger dessert for a special occasion, anytime a crowd gathers or just for the family. I often make these the day before and just assemble them on the day of the event, they take practically no time to make and prepare.  Not to mention how deliciously good they are and how they make a really nice dessert, so enjoy !!

Ingredients

Cream Puffs

    • 1 cup water
    • 6 Tbsp butter, diced
    • 2 tsp granulated sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 cup  bread flour
    • 3 large eggs
    • 2 large egg whites
    • Chocolate sauce (store bought or homemade) or powdered sugar, for topping
Pastry Cream
    • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream
    • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/4 cup cornstarch
    • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 Tbsp butter
Sweetened Whipped Cream
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 Tbsp powdered sugar
