The Perfect Omelet

 

The Perfect Omelet is a great way to start off the day.  It took me way too many failures before I got omelet making down, but once you conquer it, they are really quite simply to make.  You can load them up with all your favorites and cheese, lots and lots of cheese.  Omelets are great for any meal, not just breakfast.  One trick I learned in time was to always use a rubber spatula when making your incredible edible omelet.  Enjoy !!

Ingredients

The Perfect Omelet

For the filling:
    • 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    • 1/4 c. chopped mushrooms
    • 1/2 c. fresh spinach
    • 3-4 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
    • shredded cheddar cheese, to taste
For the omelets:
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 Tbsp. vegetable or canola oil
    • 2 Tbsp. water (or milk)
    • salt and pepper, to taste
Additional filling ideas/toppings:
  • avocado
  • hollandaise sauce
  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • guacamole
