These Sugar cookie sacks are quite easy to make and don’t require any major sewing skills. If you don’t have a sewing machine, just stich it up the old fashioned way (needle & thread…not glue). If you do have a sewing machine, this will be ezee peezee, and either way, it’s just a matter of sewing a few straight lines and then pressing with an iron.
The fabric shown in the picture is ticking, a nice durable cotton fabric and comes in many colors, but by all means you can use any fabric. And it gets better, there’s only a few other supplies needed, some of which you may already have on hand.
Fabric: 2 yards = 9 cookie sacks, measuring about 6 inches x 25 inches each
Embellishments: berries, herbs, mini spoons, measuring spoons, or cinnamon sticks
Ribbon, jute or twine
Cookie mix ( dry ingredients only).

Buy a few boxes of store box cookie mix (ex: sugar cookies). Don’t hesitate to use a store bought mix….after all, it’s the idea that you put some extra effort into making a special gift that counts. And include a handwritten note with the directions on how to make the cookies.
