Baked General Tso’s Sticky Wings


Baked General Tso’s Sticky Wings, don’t let the list of ingredients fool you, it’s really quite easy and the final result is incredible.

From the sweet caramel sauce to the light snap of ginger, and a few other surprises…the rainbow of flavors just  goes on. So you’ll need to experience the flavor yourself and once you do you’ll become hooked too, and they’ll soon become your “must have” appetizer.

24 chicken wings with skin, rinsed and patted dry, approx 3 pounds

2 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons ground ginger sounds like a lot its amazing
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/3 cup Japanese sweet rice wine (Asian section of any grocery store  or substitute dry sherry)
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seed oil
1/2 – 1 1/2 teaspoons Sriracha/Asian hot chili sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
3 garlic cloves minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1 tablespoons cornstarch

Caramel Sauce
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
