Crab Cakes


Crab Cakes, why travel to Maryland when you can make these to die for crab cakes at home.  For the best results you’ll need to purchase fresh lump crabmeat at your local fish mart or supermarket.  This is a little on the pricey side for an appetizer, but I promise you, it’s well worth it.  Hope you enjoy!

Crab Cakes via Favorite Family Recipes


  • 1/2 c. mayo
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • a few dashes of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lb. (16 oz) refrigerated lump crabmeat or fresh crabmeat
  • 1 1/2 cups Panko bread crumbs, divided
  • vegetable oil for frying
